Mayor "Jojo" Albano comes from the famous political dynasty reigning in the province of Isabela. His father, Delfin Albano, was the a former Representative Representative of the Lone District of Isabela from 1957 to 1965, and his half-brother, Rodolfo Albano Jr., was Isabela’s fomer Vice governor, Representative, Presiding Judge, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and chairman of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). His nephews to Rodolfo are also in politics: Emmanuel T. Albano, Chief political affairs officer of his father; Mila Albano-Mamauag, former Mayor of Cabagan, Isabela (2001-2004); and Rodolfo Albano III, a former Mayor ( 1988-1995) and Representative of the 1st district of Isabela to the House of Representatives (1998-2001 and 2004-2007).
