Figurado Plaza, Sr. is the former Mayor of Butuan City in the province of Agusan del Norte from 1980 until 1986.

Figurado is the brother of the Plaza clan’s patriarch, Democrito O. Plaza. His wife, Charito B. Plaza also served as Representative of the 1st district Agusan del Norte to the 8th, 9th and 10th Congress of the Philippines (1987-1998).
