Ging Deles is the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process in the Aquino administration. Was President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s presidential adviser on the peace process from 2003 to 2005.
She spearheaded several non-government organizations (NGO)’s concerning women’s rights and advocacies. Since 1981, Deles has maintained an active involvement in the women’s movement particularly in the institution of PILIPINA, which is recognized as the first women’s organization in the Philippines to espouse an explicitly “homegrown feminist” line. She has also been the co-founder of the Coalition for Peace, the Philippines’ first citizen’s peace formation to emerge after the 1986 People Power uprising.
