Magtanggol Tanjuan Gunigundo II (born December 11, 1964) was the present second district representative to Philippine Congress of Valenzuela City. He was also the former representative of the defunct lone district of Valenzuela and was a member of his own law firm before entering politics.

He is an alumnus of the University of the Philippines.

Representative Gunigundo, also known by his nickname Magi, was born to Filipino politician Magtanggol Gunigundo I in Tinambac, Camarines Sur. In 1978, he graduated elementary education from University of the Philippines Integrated School and secondary in 1981 at the same school. He finished AB Political Science at the University of the Philippines Diliman in 1985 and Bachelor of Laws at Ateneo de Manila University in 1989.

He began practicing profession as an associate lawyer when he joined Magtanggol C. Gunigundo Law Office in 1989. In 1990, he became a trial lawyer at Economic Intelligence and Investigation Bureau of Valenzuela municipality until 1997. He became Special assistant for law enforcement at the Office of the Commissioner for Customs then from 1992. At the same year, he became the chief of Special Anti-Smuggling Unit at the same office.

In 1997, he elevated to lawyer status at the Magtanggol C. Gunigundo Law. Magtanggol C. Gunigundo was his father. In 1998, he ran for election where he became the representative of lone district of Valenzuela municipality, then Valenzuela City until 2001.

In 2001, he lost the election giving way to Representative Antonio Serapio. Prior to the death of the latter in a car accident before the 2007 congressional elections, he run again for office where he is expected to expire the term until 2010.
