Pablo Ortega belongs to the political clan of the Ortegas’ of La Union. He is the grandson of the family’s patriarch, Joaquin Ortega, former Governor of the same province and the son of Francisco L. Ortega, a former Representative, Councilor, and Mayor. Even his siblings are in politics: Victor, current Representative of the 1st District of La Union; Manuel, current Governor of La Union;Mario, Barangay captain of San Fernando; Robert, former Councilor; Francisco Jr., current Councilor of San Fernando City; Jose Ma., former Barangay chairman; and Ramon C. Ortega, Executive assistant of the City Government of San Fernando.
