He was first elected as vice mayor of the same municipality for two consecutive terms before joining the mayoralty race.

There are plenty of public issues that you preferred not to deal with, which when you deal with it like a professional official, you may go a mile away…
Your performance is below the standard because you don’t bother to deal with the issues such as (but not limited to)
1 – Allowing contractors NOT to adhere in the health and safety regulations (road and building projects) that led to accidents and death.
2 – Poor public ameneties (ex. dangerous playground few meters away from your office)
