Democrito Plaza II is the former Mayor of Butuan City of the province of Agusan del Norte from 1992 to 1995.
Democrito is the junior of the Plaza clan’s patriarch, Democrito O. Plaza, who served as Butuan City’s councilor and Agusan’s governor. Grew up in politics, his brothers are also into government service: Adolph Edward, a former Governor of Agusan del Sur and Rodolfo, the current Representative of the lone district of Agusan del Sur to the 14th Congress of the Philippines. Even Democrito II’s wife, Ma. Theresa Daisy Plaza, is into politics when she also served as Mayor of the same city.
