Rey T. Uy is the current Mayor of Tagum City, of the Davao Region and is a former Vice Governor of Davao province ( 1992).
He finished his elementary education at Madaum Elementary School and secondary education at the Ateneo de Davao. He earned the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro City.
He served as Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member of Davao Province from 1988 to 1995 and was appointed Vice Governor of Davao in 1992. He became Mayor of Tagum in 1998 and was re-elected as such in 2004 up to the present.

Jesus Dureza
Jesus G. Dureza is the current Press Secretary of Malacañang, he was appointed on June 16, 2008. Prior to this, he was the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process. He also held several appointive positions in the government, including the chairmanship of the Mindanao Economic Development Council (MEDCo); the chairmanship of the Government Peace Negotiating Panel for Talks with the MILF; and Presidential Assistant for Mindanao. Secretary Dureza was born in Guimbal, Iloilo, he is married to Elizabeth Salutillo and has four children.
Secretary Dureza, who placed 10th in the Philippine Bar exams of 1973, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the Ateneo de Davao University. He practiced law as Senior Partner of the RAMA, DUREZA and ABARQUEZ Law Firm.
Antonio Carpio

Antonio T. Carpio (born October 26, 1949) is an incumbent Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. He was appointed to the Court by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and assumed office on October 26, 2001, his 52nd birthday.
Born in Davao City, Carpio finished grade school and high school at the Ateneo de Davao University. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University, and his law degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law. He went into private practice and soon emerged as one of the more prominent and successful legal practitioners in the country. Carpio also taught law subjects at the U.P. College of Law from 1983 to 1992.
