Roilo Golez is a Philippine politician on his fifth term as Member of the Philippine House of Representatives representing the Second District of Parañaque City, one of the most industrialized districts of the Philippines. A veteran legislator, he was elected in the 1992, 1995, 1998, 2004, and 2007 all by landslide victories and has served as Congressman for four terms: in the 9th Congress of the Philippines, 10th Congress of the Philippines, 11th Congress of the Philippines and 13th Congress of the Philippines. He is now starting his fifth term as congressman in the 14th Congress of the Philippines.
Roilo Golez was born on January 9, 1947 in the small town of Looc, Romblon in the Philippines. His parents were both public school teachers. He grew up in a low cost government housing project and is a product of public schools. From rural Philippines, Golez rose to success in academics, sports, government, business, civic organizations and politics.
Roilo Golez went to the Philippine Military Academy and US Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S.A. where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, major in Mathematics and Operations Analysis.
Leandro Mendoza
Leandro Ramos Mendoza, current Philippine Secretary of Transportation and Communications, was born on March 24, 1946 in San Juan, Batangas.
He finished his Bachelor of Science degree at the Philippine Military Academy; his Master of Arts in Public Management at the University of the Philippines – Visayas,Cebu City; and General Staff Course at the AFPCGSC, Fort Bonifacio.
Secretary Mendoza is a professional police officer, a noted management practitioner and an inspiring leader. His various professional experiences from his stint as a second lieutenant in the regular force of the Philippine Constabulary up until his appointment as Executive Director of the Philippines Center on Transnational Crime have prepared him to assume the role of the top law enforcer in the country. He was promoted to the rank of Police Director General of the Philippine National Police on 16 Mar 2001. On July 3, 2002, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo appointed Leandro R. Mendoza as the Secretary of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC).
Secretary Mendoza is married to former Soledad Latorre of Lambunao, Iloilo. They are blessed with three sons and three daughters.
Hermogenes Ebdane, Jr.
Hermogenes Edejer Ebdane, Jr. (born 30 December 1948) is a Filipino politician and retired General. He is the current Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways since 4 July 2007, his second appointment to the post.
He was a member of the Philippine Military Academy class of 1970, and has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from the Mapúa Institute of Technology.
Ebdane was the 10th Chief of the Philippine National Police from July 2002 to 23 August 2004.
Angelo Reyes
General Angelo Tomas Reyes (Ret.) or “Angie” to friends, was born on March 17, 1945 in San Miguel, Manila to Pablo S. Reyes of Binangonan, Rizal and Purificacion Tomas of Malate, Manila.
Angie spent most of his child days in San Miguel, Manila. He completed his secondary schooling at the Cubao High School in 1960 where he graduated as the class valedictorian. In 1966, he was among the top ten graduates of the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio City. He then proceeded to acquire two masteral degrees, namely: Masters in Business Administration from Asian Institute of Management in 1973 and Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University in 1991. He also took up International Defense Management Course in Monterey, California in 1983. And in 1987, he graduated No. 1 in Trust Operations Management Course conducted by the Trust Institutes Foundation of the Philippines at the Ateneo Business School which eventually earned him a scholarship to the Northwestern University in Chicago, illinois.
Rodolfo Biazon

Rodolfo "Pong" Gaspar Biazon (born April 14, 1935) is a politician in the Philippines. He is currently a Senator. He was elected Senator in the 1992 election for a term of 3 years. He was elected to his first six-year term in the 1998 election, and was re-elected in the 2004 election.
Biazon was born on April 14, 1935 in Batac City, Ilocos Norte. His father Rufino Biazon, was a doughmaker then, while his mother Juliana Gaspar, was a clotheswasher. His father died and left him along with his mother and three younger sisters when he was seven years old. At a young age of eight, he and his sisters had already experienced hardship, especially during the Japanese regime. Living in a makeshift shanty in Cavite, they had to peddle food, collected bottles and newspapers, which were later sold in order to earn a living for the family. In spite of their condition, it did not stop him from obtaining his education.
Panfilo Lacson

Panfilo Morena “Ping” Lacson (born June 1, 1948) is a retired Director-General of the Philippine National Police, and is currently a member of the Philippine Senate.
Born in Imus, Cavite, Lacson finished grade school at the Bayang Luma Elementary School in 1960, and high school at the Imus Institute in 1964. He took up Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the Lyceum of the Philippines University. In 1967, he enrolled at Philippine Military Academy. He was given a commission in the Philippine Constabulary after his graduation in 1971. He earned a postgraduate degree of Master in Government Management from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in 1996.
Gregorio Honasan

Gregorio Ballesteros Honasan II (born March 14, 1948), better known as Gringo Honasan, is a Filipino political figure. He played a key role in the 1986 EDSA Revolution that toppled the dictatorship of President Ferdinand Marcos. He led a series of deadly coup attempts against the administration of Corazon Aquino, none of which were successful. President Fidel Ramos granted him amnesty in 1992. He entered politics and became a senator from 1995 to 2004 and again since 2007.
Gregorio Honasan was born in Baguio City to Colonel Romeo Honasan and Alice Ballesteros, both from Sorsogon province. Honasan spent his elementary days at San Beda College from Kindergarten to Grade 6. After which, he went to Taiwan and studied at the Dominican School, Taipei, Taiwan. He then returned to the Philippines and finished his high school at Don Bosco Mandaluyong. He attained his Bachelor of Science degree at the Philippine Military Academy, where he received the title of "Class Baron", the academy’s highest leadership award.
Antonio Trillanes IV

Antonio Fuentes Trillanes IV (born August 6, 1971 in Manila, Philippines) is currently a detained Senator of the Republic of the Philippines.
He is best known for his leadership in the 2003 Oakwood Mutiny when he and a group of 321 soldiers took control over the Oakwood towers in Makati City as protest for alleged rampant corruption in the Philippine government and the Armed Forces of the Philippines in particular.
In the general election held in May 2007, Trillanes was elected to the Senate as guest candidate for the anti-government Genuine Opposition ticket, and assumed office on June 30, 2007. He is the first Philippine Senator to be elected while in jail.
On November 29, 2007, he abandoned his own trial and triggered a standoff at the Peninsula Manila hotel in Makati City, where he called for President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s ouster.
Fidel Ramos
Fidel Valdez Ramos was born on March 18, 1928 in Lingayen, Pangasinan. His father, Narciso Ramos (1900-1986), was a lawyer, crusading journalist and 5-term legislator of the House of Representatives, who eventually rose to the position of Secretary of Foreign Affairs. As such, Narciso Ramos was the Philippine signatory to the ASEAN declaration forged in Bangkok in 1967 and was one of the founding fathers of the Liberal Party. His mother, Angela Valdez-Ramos (1905-1977), was an educator, woman suffragette and daughter of the respected Valdez clan of Batac, Ilocos Norte making him a second degree cousin to Ferdinand Marcos. He took his elementary education in Lingayen and secondary education at the University of the Philippines Integrated School and Centro Escolar University Integrated School.
